Essex Senior men participate in the Bill Beaumont County Championship that takes place in May.

Essex U17 and U18 Boys
Our U17 Boys participate in Friendly county games in May once the season ends and our U18’s play in Friendly county games in November and December in the season which are also graded games for potential selection into the London and South East Divisional England squad.

Players that were previously within the Saracens and Saints PDG groups will get signposted to the County team manager to continue on the pathway. The team will arrange trail dates for additional players to join the group.
Essex Player Development Group
This group represents the starting point for players on the England pathway. Entry on the pathway is via nomination at U15 and runs to U16. It is run in partnership with Saracens Academy in the South of Essex and Northampton Saints to the North of Essex. A small number of players get retained by the Premiership clubs in their own Academy structures. The remainder enter the County Pathway as U17’s.
