1. Book Keeper & International Ticket Secretary.

Working with our Chair of finance, you will manage the recording, coding, and reconciliation of daily financial transactions in to our Xero Accounting Package and to oversee the allocation and invoicing of International Tickets. The main tasks are,

  • To receive requests for payments by email.
  • To enter all transactions into Xero, ensuring entries ae coded correctly.
  • Raise invoices and send to clients for payment.
  • Liaise with Chair of Finance re payments to be made.
  • Reconcile bank transactions in Xero.
  • Maintain files of documents for audit purposes.

To act as the Counties International Ticket Secretary, ordering, allocating and dispersal of Tickets

You will need to be a proficent user of MS Excel, and knowledge of Xero Accounting Package and the RFU Ticketing system  is preferred, but training can be provided on both systems.

Typically, these duties take 10-15 hours a month.

2. Volunteer Manager

Our volunteers are at the very core of or what we can deliver and as such The board is keen to recruit a Volunteer Manager to oversee the Counties Volunteer program including, to ensure volunteers understand their roles and welcome them to the CB, to lead on volunteer recruitment, to implement and coordinate our volunteer recognition programs and oversee our annual volunteer award events.

3. Communications and PR Manager.

This role is critical to the objectives of the CB to significantly improve its links to our Clubs and the wider community and widen the CB’s profile and boost the popularity of the game across the County.

Utilising our new website, we want to ensure that we provide good quality information and signposting to RFU and other external agencies that will provide Clubs with excellent support and advice.

To build communication channels with and between our clubs that use the latest social media channels, where a club can ask a question and receive a response within a few minutes.

PR – using the website and our social media channels, provide constant updates and news covering CB news, Essex Club News and RFU news.
