We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dan Ricketts to this new role, his main objective will be to to work with Matt Todd (LSRFUR) to oversee the Counties Referee Development program.
Daniel, working with Matt aim to:
(1) Engaging new and upskilling existing club referees across all Essex clubs.
(2) Transitioning Referees into The London Society of Referees.
(3) Increase the number of appointments to adult social & U18 male rugby.
(4) To engage with Young Match Officials, supporting them with mentiors and ongoing training.

As a County we recognise that there is a need to help clubs find people able to referee games on Sundays, this is where all referees start their journey and we would love to see more people take up the whistle because as we know; no ref, no game!
